                                       Revenue  & Distribution Director - Head of Department

 

Special Note: The role is a Head of Department position, so absolute flexibility and previous confirmed skills are necessary

I./ MAIN DUTIES:

The Revenue & Distribution Director is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all activities of revenue management in all market segments, including the distribution which als consists of the leading the reservation team, the channel management systems as well as a hands on the web site management. Leadership are vital elements.

  • To maximize rooms revenue given a RevPAR perspective
  • To maximize hotel revenue through the implementation of individual & group inventory
  • To coordinate, maximise and negotiate the distribution (OTA’s, niche websites, connectivity)

II./ DETAILS  

  • Successfully produce the most efficient business mix whilst optmizing average rate
  • To manage inventory through proper management of CRS, Internet point of sale (including participation to the SEO/SEA plan, packages), PMS and all other distribution channels
  • Work alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing  to compile the hotel annual business plan and setting of ccommodation revenue lines on a yearly basis in line with the company guidelines
  • Responsible for accurate  weekly forecast, trend analysis and sales strategies so that product vailability and price are maximised at all times
  • React to any shortfalls against budget and co-ordinate implementation of tactical offers  in full cooperation
  • To support and monitor the reservations department
  • To optimize the use and proper management of the reservation system  and contribute to the development and maintenance of Revenue Management Systems
  • Responsible for devising the most competitive approach versus competition
  • Utilise rate comparison reports to identify and react to pricing opportunities within the hotels, the analysis dahsboards being also used for the management competitive sets
  • Competitor pricing and knowledge for all market segments and seasonal rate positioning within the hotels competitive set
  • Maintain the information on the market up-to-date for complete or partial opening / refurbishment / out of order rooms / closing of hotels (Accor, competition...)
  • To consult third party intermediaries to gain maximum exposure & revenue
  • To ensure market segmentation definition and proper usage
  • Set & update rate strategy per market segment on 12 months rolling basis
  • Responsible for the launch of potential revenue management projects
  • Facilitate and lead daily revenue, weekly yield and monthly revenue meetings with measurable outputs
  • Responsible for attending daily meeting and leading group quotations tool implemented
  • Ensure that the various tools Opera, Channel managers, STR, etc. are managed in accordance to hotel best practices and needs. Maximise system reports to full effectiveness
  • In charge of producing month end reports with strong emphasis on past, current and future performance analysis as well as action planning
  • In collaboration, responsible for challenging and devising revenue management/sales strategies
  • Sales and reservations staff to effectively sell all rates to each of the market segments and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the hotel pricing policies and strategies at all times. Coach team to maximise full revenue potential
  • Development of high contribution distribution channels and ability to rapidly understand/highlight market trends
  • Strong ability to analyze market conditions and revenue generating opportunities.
  • To analyze and present hotel results when required at board meetings, asset meetings and business review meetings.

 

Profil recherché:

  • Diplôme Ecole hôtelière et/ou apprentissage/formation dans l’industrie très haut de gamme.
  • Connaissance et maîtrise de Opera PMS et logiciel Microsoft Word et Excel ainsi que système clés comme système RMS, channel manager, OTA extranets, business intelligence, etc.
  • Expérience de 2 à 5 ans dans un poste similaire ainsi que la réservation, la réception ou les ventes.
  • Spécialisation dans le revenue management.
  • Très bon niveau de français et de l’anglais oral et écrit, connaissance de l’allemand ou Suisse allemand préférable.
